Random introduction thing

Yo, what’s up, fellas? The name’s Fazar234, and I happen to be a fellow who’s invested in games, movies, shows, the usual.

My favorite shows are Amphibia, The Owl House, The Ghost and Molly McGee, Ducktales, and Gravity Falls. I’m mainly more active in the first two fandoms though.

I happen to love fanfiction, and was inspired by many writers such as @hughjidiot, @iamthelordoftime, @space-lynn, @starsfic, and many more to try creating my own. You can find them underneath #Fazar Fanfics.

I also upload them onto AO3, so go check that out if you’re interested: https://archiveofourown.org/users/Fazar/

That’s all for now, and I hope to have a great time here on Tumblr!

Pinned Post just gonna pin this here for convenience if anyone wants to see what I write

When I found out Paramount+ was removing Star Trek: Prodigy I bought all 20 episodes of S1 from Amazon Video since that was the only way for me to watch all 20 at the time. On 6/27, I lost access to episodes 10-20. Amazon has done what they can, which isn't much.

All 20 were accessible when I paid for all 20. The full season is what I was buying. Now, I only have access to 9 of the episodes.

What is the point of buying digital content if they're just going to steal it back from you afterwards?! Is this not false advertisement?

Seems appropriate

People don’t seem to realize this. Digital purchases are great until the seller no longer has the rights to the media and suddenly its not yours anymore

tzikeh

Pirate and download and back up EVERYTHING. And if you don't know how, ask someone who seems like they might be able to walk you through it. It really isn't that difficult and you don't need to understand the inner workings of your computer or any fancy-schmancy technology lingo either.

vaspider

Audible has yanked back copies of audiobooks I "bought." Amazon has yanked entire series I "bought." I "bought" a documentary series 3 years ago and went to watch it a few weeks ago & found that the only way to do so was to subscribe to a channel I'd never heard of and pay over and over for a series I'd already paid for.

We need to start talking about digital "purchases" as what they functionally are - licenses - and seriously, please do download and backup things or just go back to buying physical media.

“You can criticize something you love!”

Yeah, and you can also get tired of criticizing something you love. You can get completely fed up with it and decide, “You know what? Flaws aside, I love this thing, and I don’t have to waste hours of my life admitting its flaws to strangers on the Internet in order to somehow justify my love of it.” You can get sick of watching others gleefully tear it apart, for no reason other than that it’s popular and they hate that you love it. You can get sick of watching others tearing it apart with good intentions, too.

In the end, it’s just a cartoon, or a book, or a movie. It’s not that serious, and you can enjoy it without hyper-focusing on its flaws. You don’t need to justify your love of something to someone else, least of all a person you don’t even know.

Fun fact: Cheetahs only attack prey that runs

im-sherlocked-in-my-mindpalace

jesus that is good to know.

chandra75

Yup, that’s the point you just stay still and let it do whatever the fuck it wants that doesn’t involved you getting eaten.

REALLY FUN FACT for big cats cheetahs are fucking docile as shit

my grandfather ran a cheetah sanctuary in south africa and he’d just lie with them and sleep among them and they’d rub against him and chirp at him they’re big fucking babies

pkmnbreederbrianna

Another Fun Fact: Cheetahs are incredibly nervous animals. One of the (many) reason’s they’re going extinct is that cheetahs are so sensitive and nervous, some of them are literally too nervous to breed. Others will breed, but stress themselves out so much, they’ll lose their cubs.

So zoos with breeding programs had to figure out how to make cheetahs comfortable enough to first of all, get laid and secondly - not spazz themselves into miscarrying.

So what’d they do?
They gave the cheetah’s their very own Service Dogs!

The dogs make them feel safe, protected and secure!

the anxiety cat

kittyplayz1cantmsg4somereason

Also! Cheetahs are not in fact classified as big cats, they are simply very large lesser cats, due to the fact that they purr, meow, chirp, and cannot roar. Also many cheetahs have learned to recognize wildlife photographers are friends and not foes, so they will just come up to people and be friendly occasionally as pictured at the top of the chain. Some will even leave their Cubs with photographers to look after while they hunt. So. Yeah. Cheetahs are great

bunjywunjy

this works because cheetahs are actually fairly social animals, and they look to members of their group for context on how worried they should be about any given Situation. but since cheetahs are also nervous social animals, they can work each other into an anxiety spiral pretty easily over things like “being in an enclosed habitat” and “there’s a guy over there”.

so by introducing a dog as a member of the group, the cheetahs will now look to the dog for context clues on how worried they should be! and the dog Is Not Worried At All, Thanks, so the cheetahs think everything must be chill even if they were personally unsure about it, and they stop being so freaked out about literally everything.

i’m convinced that the ice age franchise won’t end until the squirrel that always chases after the nut gets an equally hideous girlfriend with Squirrel Tits™ and eyelashes

NO

No you don’t understand, I have this entire developed theory about the Ice Age universe which has been cooking up in my mind and has only be reinforced by the latest 5th installment.
Scrat is the god of the Ice age universe. The story began with him and the story will end with him. If there weren’t hints before, in this latest installment, it becomes clear that Scrat’s actions dictate what happens on Earth and to the protagonists. Yes, maybe Scart’s only goal is to get the nut, but his actions SHAPE what happens in the film.
If we needed any further proof then may I point out something Buck said in the 5th film along the lines of “we’re 6 mins early! Somebody up there likes us!”
That phrase is usually used to refer to a god and in this case it’s used to refer (unknowingly) to scrat!

However, there is an ALTERNATE theory that I have been working on. What if Scart isn’t the god of the ice age universe, but rather, the NUT is? As i have already said, Scart’s actions shape the course of the story but what motivates Scart? That’s right: the nut, it is truly because of the nut that Scart does what he does that leads to the events that take place in the story.
This would create an interesting metaphor here. Scrat is chasing the nut like man chases divinity.
So when will the Ice Age saga end?? When Scart finally gets the nut for good. When man catches God.

i didnt even read this but im laughing at how many times scrat is typoed as scart

I’m watching the original Ice Age right now and the only thing I can focus on is “what motivates Scart? That’s right: the nut” that’s all that’s happening in my brain

zerosocialskillz

He finally got the nut in this short

…it was the last short the creators of Ice Age—Blue Sky—will ever make (because fuck Disney i guess), so I guess you could say that the world of Ice Age has truly ended with him.
